Never Let Go! Grip Competition

VIKN Never Let Go!

On February 3rd, something EPIC is going down! VIKN Performance is headed to Nashville to sponsor Never Let Go!, an all-day grip competition benefitting non-profit organization EPIC GIRL

Through educational programs, mentoring, counseling and community activities, Epic Girl provides disadvantaged young women a chance to have the bright future they deserve. We can't think of a better way to show our support than with a feat of strength!

After viewing the VIKN Grip Strength Challenge at last year's Naturally Fit Games, owner of The Southern Squeeze and grip strength athlete, Maria Bascetta, was inspired to run a competition of her own. She partnered up with Women's Strength Coalition and organized the Never Let Go! fundraising event to be held at a local gym, Nashletics.

The competition consists of picking up two heavy kettlebells and not letting go. (Don't worry, chalk is permitted.) Each participant pays a $15 entry fee, plus pledges $1 for every second they think they can hold on for. Check the facebook page for more details on rules and weights.

Teams and individuals have created a fundraising page so they can collect donations and get more people involved. If you'll be in the Nashville area and would like to participate in this fun strength event, you encourage you to join us and register here

Owners of VIKN Performance, Kristen Karhio and Dan Bettcher, are not only bringing the chalk, but they will also be participating in their first grip competition that day. We'll keep you posted on their results!

Unable to make the event, but still want to give back? We designed a limited release, Never Let Go! collection so that people everywhere can make a strong statement for a great cause. If you would like to make a purchase, you can proudly wear your new gear knowing that 100% of the profits go directly to Epic Girl! Check out the collection here.
